New FISH money for Polish NGOs

Published on March 13, 2010

The Fisheries Secretariat’s financial support to Polish NGOs has been widened to include new areas where granting may be possible.

Grants of up to € 30.000 are available for projects that will contribute to more sustainable fisheries in the Baltic Sea. Our overall goal of more sustainable fisheries in the Baltic Sea remains the same, and advocacy work focused on using the reform of the EC Common Fisheries Policy to that end is one of the new topics relevant to applications.

The total funding available is € 250 000 for re-granting over 2.5 yrs

The grants have been made possible through a combination of our ongoing work with and support of NGOs in Poland, and funding provided by the Oak Foundation Environment Programme.
