Today, the EU Fisheries Ministers will have their first debate on the reform package published last week. Ministers will also hear about the Polish Presidency priorities for fisheries and agriculture.
At the Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels today, 19 July 2011, the Polish Presidency will present its work programme for the rest of the year. This will be followed by a first discussion the package of proposals for reform of the EU Common Fisheries Policy published by the European Commission on 13 July. There may also be a debate about the 2011 quota for cod in the Celtic Sea on request from France and Ireland.
