FISH and Race for the Baltic partners up with Marint centrum

FISH and Race for the Baltic teamed up with Marint centrum when visiting Simrishamn on the third day of the race. Marint centrum is a platform for tradition and innovation with the Baltic Sea as a focal point. The premise of the business is the belief that the ocean is an asset that can be used to create innovation, growth, while contributing to a sustainable marine environment for the future.

Race for the Baltic held activities down at the harbor together with Marint centrum and KIOM Baltic Sea with a wide range of visitors stopping by to learn more about the state of the Baltic Sea and talk to the cycling team. FISH had the opportunity to sit down with local fishermen to hear more about the problems they are faced with.

KIMO Baltic Sea is an international municipal network for coastal communities around the Baltic Sea which acts to protect the environment and the future.  KIMO Baltic Sea holds observer status in the HELCOM – Helsinki Commission, Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission.
