Fisheries Fund deal approved by the Fisheries Committee

A little over a week before the expected vote in the European Parliament on the new European Fisheries and Maritime Fund, the Fisheries Committee approved the deal struck on 28 January.

On 7 April, the MEPs in the European Parliament Fisheries Committee formally approved the compromise reached in trilogue on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF). The Committee has spent weeks reviewing the technical and language content of the legislative text. It was adopted with 16 votes in favour and 2 against. The Plenary is expected to adopt the regulation on 16 April.
