The European Commission has opened a public consultation on “Evaluation of the Fisheries Control Regulation”. The consultation is open to all stakeholder groups and individuals and close 13th of March 2016.
The objective of the consultation is to assist the Commission to evaluate the Fisheries Control Regulation (EC) 1224/2009, assessing its impacts on the Common Fisheries Policy five years after the entry into force.
The evaluation will address a range of different themes, including whether the objectives of the Control Regulation are being delivered, and whether the requirements of the Control Regulation are effective and suitable to achieve the objectives of the Common Fisheries Policy.
