Workshop on the regionalisation of the CFP

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Dates: 03 July 2018

The conference is organised by the Thünen Institute, a German research institute under the Ministry of Food & Agriculture.

At present the workshop plans to focus on three questions:

    * Which tasks of fisheries management should be in the responsibility of the fishing industry?

    * Which decisions of fisheries management should be taken at which level (EU, regional sea, national, local)?

    * Which institutions and decision-making processes are appropriate for the regional sea level?

BALTFISH Forum and High Level Group

It is expected that topics discussed will include the salmon management plan and TACs for 2019 as all stocks reach their maximum sustainable yield deadline. It will be the final meeting under the Danish Presidency with Sweden taking over in July.
