Fisheries as part of integrated Baltic Sea marine management and the role of BALTFISH – what are the challenges and opportunities?

FishSec is organising the first public discussion on BALTFISH, the regional management body set up during the Swedish EU Presidency of 2009. With representatives from governments in the Baltic Sea region, the European Commission, fishing industry, NGOs and academia the seminar will present an opportunity for participants to outline a vision for how fisheries management can be integrated within a wider context and facilitate the implementation of ecosystem based fisheries management.
