ICES Workshop on guidance for the review of MSFD Decision on Descriptor 4

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Dates: 24 - 25 February 2015

ICES organises a focused workshop, as a part of the process of the Review of Commission Decision 2010/477/EU on criteria and methodological standards for GES,  on specific challenges that arose during the 2014 scientific review on the descriptor 4 (foodwebs). The workshops will take place in ICES HQ, Copenhagen, from 24–25 February. The workshop will also be open for researchers from EU member states that are not ICES member countries. Each country can send 1–2 participants. The workshop will be open to stakeholders, dependent on availability of space, and will be open to secretariat members of RSCs. Public hearing: Maximum Sustainable Yield in Fisheries management

Seminar: Offshore measures to reduce the effects of eutrophication

The Baltic Eye at the Stockholm University's Baltic Center is hosting a one-day seminar on offshore measures to reduce the effects of eutrophication in the Baltic Sea.

Baltic Eye coordinate, together with the Ministry of Environment and the Agency for Marine and Water management (SWaM), research on measures needed to face the consequences of eutrophication within the Baltic Sea. This one-day seminar will review a number of pilot projects around the Baltic Sea aimed to mitigate problems associated with europhication.
